Woohoo.. I finally got around to doing some more art! Lately I'm really wanting to draw but I can't find the time. Been doing my band stuff lately too so haven't had alot of time. Ah well..
I did this abstract portrait of a really beautiful girl here on dA Jessica Adams aka ~jess1586 - You should check our her gallery sometime if you get a chance.
...like.. a sense of unreality.. a memory of someone from time gone by. A haunting vision of guilt and lost love. 'Don't you love me anymore?'
I did this using .5 and .3 mechanical pencils (HB, 2B) and Prismacolours. Total time on this was about 20 hours. The paper was Croquis.. It's a really great paper but quite thin. It seems like it just soaks up the lead, but I work with my fingers alot to spread the lead where I like it so the texture of the paper is perfect for that. Why the hell is it that every tutorial I've ever seen says NEVER put your fingers on the paper?! Did they win some art contest in high school or something? Don't let anyone tell you how to do your art.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This contest ends on Friday the 18th December 2009. If you want to enter, get your entries in quick! Here are all the entries so far. Also if you want to donate a prize, that would be fantastic too, just note me
