Simply Desire

I saw this most beautiful girl named Akiho. She seems to really admire having her photo taken, so I asked her if she'd like to have a drawing done of her. I only had a short time for the sketch and had to do most of it from memory because I've been traveling during the holidays. Most of the time I spent on her stockings. So much detail in there, hard to get it all, but with my art it's not usually the point. It's the subtle things that bring something to life. I've started to experiment putting some of the lightest colors in places. It looks amazing on the finished peice because it tends to bring out another side of depth.. not like 3d, but a real feeling. Some dark greens against the shadows of the intimate areas of her skin for example.. brings out a bit of 'Desire' which is why I named this piece that. I seem to have a trademark of adding bits of color, but I'm coming to find that I can do this in other ways to change the mood and feeling.

I did this using .3 and .5 mm mechanical pencils, and Sakura colour pencils on some heavy bond. Total time was around 18 hours.
